OPENING OF THE NEW TATE MODERN
Hi everyone, it’s even Romane !! Today I’ll talk a little bit about the New Tate Modern.
Be among the first to see the new Tate Modern and come to attend a three-day celebration showcasing the very best art. You can’t miss (literally!) the big art story of 2016: it’s ten storeys high! It’s today that a new Tate Modern will be unveiled when its extension, known as The Switch House opens to the public. Young people will also be invited to celebrate the opening weekend, explore the new building and respond to the modern and contemporary art on display.
Tate Modern opened in 2000. Today, this opening a new building allow to offer a greater variety of artworks and show more artists from around the world, presenting an increasingly international view of modern and contemporary art. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron, the Swiss architects behind the original transformation of Bankside power station 15 years ago the building will provide 60% more display space, the world’s most popular gallery of modern art will now feature over 250 artists from around 50 countries.
It will offer a spectacular variety of spaces for visitors and for art, from the raw industrial Tanks to a panoramic roof terrace overlooking the London skyline.
LE NOUVEAU BATIMENT DE TATE MODERN MAINTEANT OUVERT

Soyez parmi les premiers à voir le nouveau bâtiment de Tate Modern et venez absolument assister à la célébration de trois jours mettant en avant les atouts de la Tate Modern. Vous ne pouvez pas manquer l’histoire de l’Art de 2016 qui dispose de dix étages. Conçu par Herzog & de Meuron, les architectes Suisses créateurs de la transformation originale de la centrale électrique de Bankside il y a 15 ans l’immeuble fournira 60% plus d’espaces d’expositions, la galerie la plus populaire au monde de l’art moderne va maintenant mettre en avant plus de 250 artistes provenant d’environ 50 pays différents.
Il offrira une variété d’art spectaculaire pour les visiteurs et une vue panoramique donnant sur les toits de Londres.
