Executive Homestay Zone 1 and Zone 2

Executive Homestays are located in TFL transport zone 1 and transport zone 2. These homestays are located closer to Central London, usually with very convenient travel links e.g. a train or underground station nearby. House prices in these areas are often very high with equally high demand for accommodation from students, business people and tourists. This means hosts in this category often charge more for their accommodation, even if the accommodation or the bedroom is smaller or less luxurious than in other parts of the city.

What to expect
A homestay in a safe part of London within transport zones 1 or 2 with good links to public transport (likely within easy reach of an underground station).
A welcoming host with local knowledge and advice about the area.
One of the cheapest weekly travel cards available (if you are studying in central London).
Likely to have a number of busy restaurants, bars etc nearby.

What NOT to expect
A larger home. As with similar major cities like New York or Paris, the closer you get to Central London, the higher the accommodation prices are and the smaller the accommodation and rooms tend to get.
To stay in popular tourist areas or areas people do not tend to live in. You may be buying an ‘executive’ homestay but you will not be staying with views of Buckingham Palace or on Oxford Street. You will still be living in an area Londoners tend to live in so please maintain reasonable expectations.
