Find a job in London!

If you are from the EU or have permission to work in the UK you may wish to find a job to support your studies. On average the job market in London has grown by 15-17.5% over the last few years, therefore if you are looking for a part-time job or something more permanent after your studies, you should find plenty of opportunity here.

The first thing you should do is to ensure you have an up-to-date Curriculum vitae that is in English. This should be no longer than 2 pages of A4 and contain information on your previous work experience, your education and a little on what you enjoy doing in your free time. When applying for a job (even part-time) in the UK you would usually include a cover letter to introduce yourself and give the employer an overview on why they should employ you.

When attending interviews for jobs in the UK you will be asked for recommendations. You will usually be expected to bring both professional (from previous employers) and personal references.  We advise bringing letters of recommendation and being prepared to be asked for contact details of previous employers.

London is a city that loves to socialise and this extends to the workplace, even recruitment. There are always frequent meetups and informal networking events happening.
