The castle was left in ruins after the English Civil War, but underwent extensive restoration after the First World War. It is now considered one of the finest examples of late 13th century and early 14th century military architecture in Europe, and is now a major tourist attraction.

Portmeirion is a tourist village in Gwynedd. It was designed and built in the style of an Italian village, and is now owned by a charitable trust. The design of the town was in order to pay tribute to the atmosphere of the Mediterranean.

The garden spans 80 acres of hillside and includes formal Italianate Terraces, informal Shrub Borders containing plants from around the world. It is famous for its Laburnum Arch, the longest in the UK, which flowers in May and June.

Swallow Falls is a name given to Rhaeadr Ewynnol (English: Foaming Waterfall) by tourists. it is a multiple waterfall system in Wales, located on the Afon Llugwy near Betws-y-Coed and is very popular with tourists as it is considered an area of outstanding natural beauty.
