Apply to be a Host

IMPORTANT: Please note we are currently only recruiting host families in London Zones 1 – 4 or the Kingston upon Thames area.

Before completing the below form, please ensure you have read and understood the Host Family Guidelines and accept what is required of you as a Home from Home host family.

Please also ensure that you meet the below criteria:

  • You are willing to accept students into your home, interact with them and treat them as part of the family
  • You are willing to share the main communal living areas of your home with the students
  • The bedrooms in which you wish to host students are in your own home
  • The bedrooms in which you wish to host students have a standard bed (not a futon, camp bed, mattress on floor), adequate drawer/hanging space and natural light and is in good overall condition
  • English is the main language spoken in your home

The average age of students staying in our homestays is early to mid 20’s, therefore the vast majority of students we accommodate are 18 years old or older. However, please be aware that for any role that involves responsibility for, or substantial access to, under 18s, including host families, London Homestays will require criminal history (enhanced DBS or current CRB) checks before students aged under 18 are placed with them. London Homestays employees are also subject to the above as part of our safer recruitment policies.
