Homestay Zone 4+

Zones 4 – 7 homestays are located in the suburban, residential areas that surround London, such as West Finchley, Southgate, New Malden, Kingston, Boston Manor and Wembley and therefore quieter and greener than the centre.

Houses in Zones 4 – 7 are often larger and hosts usually have more time to spend with students than hosts in central London. Large shopping malls, sports fields and parks are usually within easy reach.

This area is often dubbed the commuter belt, as many workers travel to work in central London each day. Travelling time from Zone 4 to central London takes (on average) between 45 and 60 minutes, although some stations have express links making this journey quicker.
