A practical balance of travel time and weekly cost in Zones 2–3.

Superior Homestay Zone 2 and 3

Alexandra Palace, Zone 3 — typical Superior homestay area

Superior homestays are usually in Zones 2–3, offering a practical balance of travel time and weekly cost. Many Zone 2–3 areas have strong transport links for getting to school or work.

What to expect

  • Location: usually Zones 2–3, depending on availability.
  • Commute time: typically around 40–50 minutes to central London — your actual commute depends on your exact address and school/work location.
  • Best for: students who want easier daily travel and a wide range of neighbourhood options.

Why choose a Superior homestay?

  • Often fewer changes/shorter journeys on the way to central London compared with outer zones.
  • A wide range of neighbourhoods and household types.
  • A good balance of travel time and weekly cost for many students.

Is this right for you?

Superior homestays work well for most students and interns, especially if you have a regular daytime routine. If you have very early starts, late finishes, or mobility/access needs, please mention this in your application so we can advise.

What’s included

  • Wi‑Fi is a domestic service and can occasionally be affected by outages.
  • Please agree laundry timings with your host.

How we choose areas

We look at what homes are available for your dates and compare practical travel routes (nearest stations/lines and likely number of changes).

To help us recommend the right area, please share:

  • Your school/work address or nearest station
  • Your typical start/finish times
  • Any essential requirements (for example allergies, access needs)
  • Your budget and any must-haves

Common questions

Can I request Zone 2 only?

You can request Zone 2, but availability depends on your dates and requirements. We will do our best to match you, but we may also suggest Zone 3 homes with direct links if they offer a better daily route.

Can you guarantee a specific area or commute time?

We can’t guarantee exact commute times because they depend on the address and live transport conditions. However, we will use your school/work location to recommend areas with practical routes where possible.

Can I change zones after booking?

If you need to change location after booking, contact us. We can advise on options, but availability and pricing may change.

Under‑18 placements (16–17 only)

We arrange individual under‑18 placements for students aged 16–17 only. We do not place under‑16s individually.
