What to do this weekend in London – 12/13 January 2019

No Plans for the weekend? Here is some inspiration for you!

Can’t believe that this Year is already 11 days old, New Year’s Eve was just around the corner and now we already have the second weekend of this year! Almost all the Christmas specials across London are over now. So it’s time and also space for some new super exciting venues. As usual, we picked up some of the best for you this weekend.

No Trousers Tube Ride

New Year – New Challenges, this weekend you can do something really unusual. When you’re planning to get the tube on Sunday be aware of people without trousers in the tube. The annual No Trousers Tube Ride Day celebrating its 10th anniversary on Sunday the 13st of January 2019. The only thing you need to if you want to be a part of it is to head to the National Gallery at 2:30 pm where the meeting point is is. Afterwards, you need to be prepared to drop your kecks in the underground and that’s it. You might think this isn’t legal but it is as long you keep your underwear on. You can take any line but most people only travel in zone 1 like that. At 5 pm after the ride, you can go to the Afterparty at Chandos Pub at Trafalgar Square. This event also takes place in 60 other cities all over the world like New York or Berlin.

Welcome to the Forest

Waltham Forest is the very first Borough of Culture ever! Which means they will have a huge of cultural events this year. This weekend is the big opening party it’s from Friday until Sunday. It’s every evening from 6 pm until 9:30 pm.  It’s Waltham’s biggest party ever so you shouldn’t miss it! There will be local artists for the entertainment and big light installation in Lloyd Park. Keep tuned in as there are sure to be more events this year from events in Waltham Forest and now you know why. Catch the Victoria Line or the Overground to Walthamstow Central to get there. They said ‘it’s for free, just turn up!’, so give this new venue a go!

Soho Vegan Market

Have you heard about the Veganuary? You can see it everywhere at the moment, the adverts and receipts for Veganuary! As the name itself already says you live vegan for the whole of January. It’s made to try something new or realize your new year’s resolutions to eat less meat or even stop eating animal products. Even when you’re not a part of Veganuary you can go there. The Soho Vegan Market offers you a huge range of delicious vegan food even non-vegans will love it! It’s in Rupert Street, so if you need a break from your January sale shopping in Oxford and Regent Street give this a go. It’s on Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.
