Woking

The_Great_War_monument,_Jubilee_Square,_Woking_England Woking is located in the west of Surrey, England. Woking is 23 miles (37 km) southwest of Charing Cross in central London.

Woking has a modern shopping centre called The Peacocks and an older shopping area, Wolsey Place.

The main area for evening entertainment is around Chertsey Road which contains restaurants catering to most tastes. The Ambassadors cinemas and New Victoria Theatre can be accessed through the top floor of The Peacocks.

Woking has an indoor swimming pool and a separate leisure centre. Outdoor facilities include a skatepark, tennis courts, five-a-side football pitches, a cricket pitch, bowling greens, a crazy golf course, and a children’s adventure playground.

Woking is also to home to the Surrey History Centre, which holds archives and records about the county.

Transport

Rail

Woking railway station is on the Alton Line, Portsmouth Direct Line, South Western Main Line and West of England Main Line. There are frequent trains to and from London Waterloo (via Clapham Junction), which takes approximately 25–30 minutes.

Buses

The bus services in Woking provide services into towns such as Greater London, Staines, Addlestone and Heathrow.

High season is 1 February to 31 July and 1 September to 31 October.
Low season is 1 to 31 January, 1 to 31 August and 1 November to 31 December.

Supplement for leaders/drivers in twin room is £3.00 pppn on above prices.
Supplement for leaders in single room, subject to availability, is £6.00 pppn on above prices.
Supplement for drivers in single room is £10.00 pppn on above prices.
Extra packed lunch is £5.00 pppn.
A supplement of £2.00 per person per night will be added for 2 night stay bookings.
