What group leaders need to know
Every group is quoted individually, because centre, dates and numbers all move the price. The practical arrangements are the same wherever your group stays.
Students stay with host families in twos, threes and fours. Group leaders and other adults travelling with the group can have single rooms if any are free when you book.
We suggest full board: breakfast and dinner at the family’s table, and a packed lunch to take out for the day. Half board, without the packed lunch, is also an option.
A local organiser is at the meeting point each morning and evening. Students are handed over between host families and group leaders with someone responsible present both times.
Airport transfers can be arranged for the whole group by taxi, minibus or coach. Ask for a quotation when you enquire.
Hosts who take students under 18 are DBS checked, and our safeguarding policies cover every group placement.
Larger groups pay less per person. A deposit of 20% of the total or £500, whichever is higher, holds the booking. The balance is due 28 days before arrival.

What to see and do
- Caernarfon Castle A medieval fortress and UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its distinctive polygonal towers. Prince Charles was invested as Prince of Wales here in 1969.
- Conwy Castle A medieval fortification containing the best-preserved suite of medieval private royal chambers in England and Wales, overlooking the walled town of Conwy.
- Portmeirion A charming tourist village designed in the style of an Italian village, famous as the filming location for the 1960s TV series The Prisoner.
- Bodnant Garden A National Trust property spanning 80 acres with Italianate terraces and shrub borders. Famous for its Laburnum Arch, the longest in the UK, flowering in May and June.
Getting around
North Wales has good transport links, with rail services connecting the main towns and coastal routes. Coach services provide connections to the Midlands, London, and other major cities.
