London Entertainment Guide

The capital city of London has a plethora of entertainments and an intoxicating atmosphere that makes it one of the most visited places on the planet. Indeed, as far as entertainment goes this really is the city of endless possibilities. Whether it be the arts, music or fine dining there really is something for everybody in London.

There are restaurants devoted to food from all corners of the globe throughout the city, while Brick Lane, Soho and the Edgeware Road provide many of the highlights.

For those who prefer the quieter side of life, there are many art galleries and Museums throughout the city and, remarkably for a city like London, most of it is free. Alternatively, for the optimum of frugal pleasures take the whole family for a picnic in one of the splendid gardens and parks that pepper the whole of the city.

On the other hand, if you find it hard to sit still, London boasts some of the finest nightclubs on the planet. Still among the best is the infamous Ministry of Sound, which can be found near to the Elephant & Castle Underground station. In fact, London goes through such a transformation at night, to many it seems like an entirely different city. Many festivals take place almost constantly, but if you miss them you can always take advantage of one of the many live music events on offer throughout the year.

If modern music is your thing, London remains one of the foremost places for the world of rock and jazz. Combine your love of music and theatre and take in one of the great musicals the city is famous for. Get yourself to Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus or the Strand and take your pick.
