New Forest

new-forest-towns The New Forest is an area of southern England. It covers south-west Hampshire and extends into south-east Wiltshire and towards east Dorset.

There are many places to visit and explore in the New Forest, such as award-winning gardens, museums, leisure and wildlife parks. There are many towns and villages throughout the New Forest, which offers many restaurants and shopping opportunities. Numerous deer live in the Forest, they can be rather shy and tend to stay out of sight when people are around, but also can be surprisingly bold at night.

Among the towns and villages lying in or adjacent to the Forest are Lyndhurst, Abbotswell, Hythe, Totton, Blissford, Sway, Burley, Brockenhurst, Fordingbridge, Frogham, Hyde, Stuckton, Ringwood, Beaulieu, Bransgore, Lymington and New Milton. It is bounded to the west by Bournemouth and Christchurch, and to the east by the city of Southampton. The New Forest gives its name to the New Forest district of Hampshire.

Transport

Train

The train stations within the National Park are Ashurst, Beaulieu Road, Brockenhurst and Sway. The other train stations in the New Forest are Hinton Admiral, Lymington, New Milton and Totton.

High season is 1 February to 31 July and 1 September to 31 October.
Low season is 1 to 31 January, 1 to 31 August and 1 November to 31 December.

Supplements for New Forest

Supplement for leaders/drivers in twin room is £3.00 pppn on above prices.
Supplement for leaders in single room, subject to availability, is £6.00 pppn on above prices.
Supplement for drivers in single room is £10.00 pppn on above prices.
Extra packed lunch is £5.00 pppn.
A supplement of £2.00 per person per night will be added for 2 night stay bookings.
