June in London is always an exciting month, the weather starts to pick up as we hit the beginning of Summer and there are a variety of different and fun activities for you to get involved in!
Hackney Flea Market – 1st June to 2nd June
Come along to this weekend long, pop up market and rummage through new and old vintage trader stalls and you’ll be guaranteed to find something you like here!
Trooping the Colour – 8th June
So the Sovereign’s birthday is better known as the Queen’s Birthday Parade and this impressive display has a collaboration of the Queen’s personal troops, The Household Division and also the Horse Guards Parade all coming together to pay tribute to the Queen’s birthday. Will the Queen be there? Well of course, it would be rude for her not to be!
Changing the Guard – Throughout June
Actually witness the famous changing of the guard ceremony outside Buckingham Palace where the new guard arrives from Wellington Barracks and takes over from the old guard with a exciting ceremony of music and live performances. It starts at 10.45am and lasts around 45 minutes, with the actual handover taking place at 11am. Do check the schedule here so that you know when to witness this exciting part of English history.
International Yoga Day – 21st June
Enjoy the longest day of the year by celebrating finding your core and joining others for this blissfully free event all about Yoga!
Eid Festival – 8th June
Anyone and everyone is invited to celebrate the end of the Islamic holy month, Ramadan. Come and enjoy food from around the world, join in a range of family activities, and enjoy live music and entertainment on the main stage.
All day Free Crazy Golf, Swingers – 3rd June
In need of a day out with your friends or family? Well if you come down to this crazy golf course you will have a chance to celebrate their 3rd birthday and they want to celebrate with free rounds of unlimited crazy golf for anyone who attends, half price champagne, reduced street food to only £5 and lots of birthday cake, sounds epic!
Zoo Nights, London Zoo – 7th June to 28th June (18+ Only)
London Zoo are opening their gates for another year of wild and crazy activities such as, visit all the animals that London Zoo has to offer, enjoy live performances and indulge in street food vendors who will offer exciting flavours from around the globe while pop up watering holes have everything from beer and wine to soft drinks. This is a chance to explore the Zoo like never before.
Pride in London – 23rd June to 7th July
It does not matter what sexuality, race, religion, faith, ethnic background or gender you are, this colourful event is open to everyone to celebrate equality so come down and join the party. Pride in London celebrates the capital’s LGBT+ community with a programme of events showcasing LGBT+ culture, including theatre, dance, art, cinema, parties and activities across the city.
